Sisson served as a district attorney and was elected to the Pennsylvania State Senate in 1901, where he held the position of president pro tempore from 1907 to 1908. He was known for his leadership roles and was elected as the Pennsylvania State Auditor General in 1909. Sisson's contributions to the Senate and his political career were significant, making him a notable figure in Pennsylvania's legislative history.
